Scheel Livestock began in 2004 and is currently located in Alpena,SD. We moved to the Scheel family farm in August of 2011 and are the third generation to live and raise our family here. Jim & Audra Scheel along with our three children run 100 head of predominately Maine-Anjou, Chi, and Charolais cows. Scheel Livestock markets our club calves at the Thomas Ranch Private-Treaty Sale in September near Harrold, SD, and holds a fall born private treaty sale in January at the ranch.
Cattle are available to view throughout the year.
Scheel Livestock is also home to 100 head of club lamb producing ewes and 60 head of Boer goats. We market our show lambs and goats at the Winner’s Circle Sale held in Watertown, SD, the end of April. We have been involved in the livestock industry all our lives; so whether you need a show steer, heifer, lamb or goat you’ve come to the right place!
